About

Hi, I’m Mallesh — the person behind Maximus Mallesh and this site.

I’m not a doctor, gastroenterologist, or licensed therapist. My background is in English (postgraduate), and I work as a teacher by profession. What I bring to this site is something different: years of personal research into the gut-anxiety connection, driven by my own experience trying to understand why physical symptoms — bloating, brain fog, racing heart, restless nights — kept showing up alongside anxious periods in my life.

Everything I write here comes from digging through peer-reviewed research, cross-checking claims against sources like NIH, PubMed, and Mayo Clinic, and translating that research into plain, practical language — the way I’d explain it to a student or a friend, not the way a textbook would.

What this site is: A resource for people who suspect their gut and their anxiety are connected, and want clear, well-researched, non-jargon explanations plus practical steps to try.

What this site isn’t: A substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you’re dealing with persistent physical or mental health symptoms, please see a licensed doctor or mental health professional. I’ll always point you toward that when it matters — see our [Medical Disclaimer].

Why “Maximus Mallesh”? It’s the name I write under here — think of it as my coaching voice, focused entirely on making gut-health and anxiety information accessible to people who feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice online.

Get in touch: Have a question, correction, or topic request? Reach out on the [Contact page] — I read every message.
